What The Dog Doing

Two round dogs. Two swords. One platform. Somebody is going to eat a knockback.

A free-to-play 2D 1v1 fighting game for Android.

A dog lunging forward with a sword, shield raised, sparks on impact. A dog crouched behind a raised wooden shield, guarding.

What it is

A fighting game you can actually finish a match of

One screen, two fighters, no camera to chase. You get a light attack, a heavy attack you can hold to charge, a guard, and a parry window. Land a clean hit and knockback sends the other dog sliding — hold a direction and you can drift out of it before you land.

Rounds end when a health bar empties. Pick best-of-1 for something quick, or best-of-5 when you want the read war.

Moves

Four buttons, a lot of arguments

A dog standing still, sword in one paw and shield in the other.

Neutral

Sword in one paw, shield in the other. Your problem is the gap between you.

A dog thrusting its sword forward, connecting with a yellow spark.

Light attack

Fast, short, safe-ish. The button you use when you are not sure.

A dog swinging its sword overhead in a wide arc.

Heavy attack

Hold to charge it. Bigger damage, bigger knockback, and a very readable windup.

A dog braced behind its shield with debris at its feet.

Guard

Blocking drains guard health. Run it empty and you get broken open. Time it exactly and you parry instead.
